We were a little slack on taking photos, so most of the photos were just of the Jaran Studios booth (between visitors), but if we find any more good ones, we'll post them.

DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE WILL BE AT COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL IN 10 DAYS!

Comic-Con International is almost here, and if you're going, this is your chance to see the latest DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE art and previews, in person! Our writer, Kurt Hathaway, will be at the Jaran Studios booth, pushing all things DF, so feel free to stroll on by if you have time. Chas Naylor of Fith Studios, and well-known voice-over actor Jim Hodson, hooked us up with a nice DREAD FORCE preview trailer, and it'll be on display at the booth, so make sure to take a peek at that, too!

DEVIANTART DIVA, MISTY "SAYDA" COATS NOW ONBOARD WITH JARAN STUDIOS!

No stranger to fans of DeviantArt, Sayda is a talented young artist from the Chicago area, whose beautiful colors will soon be gracing the pages of DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE. Though she mainly focuses on fantasy art, as opposed to comics, her talent transcends genres, and we can't wait to see her work on DREAD FORCE. DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE TO BE PUBLISHED BY DEVIL'S DUE PUBLISHING!

After reviewing offers from several well known comic book publishers, Jaran Studios has decided to partner with Devil's Due Publishing to bring DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE to a store near you! Expect an announcement coming from Devil's Due soon, as well as a DREAD FORCE presence at DDP's booth at Comic-Con International in San Diego next month. Stay tuned...

JARAN STUDIOS WILL BE AT HEROES CON AND WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO!

Heroes Con begins tomorrow and Wizard World Chicago starts next week (June 26th - 29th), so if you're going, prepare to FEEL THE DREAD! Jaran Studios will be in attendance with lots of cool artwork, previews and DREAD FORCE stuff to check out. Also, look for us to be making an official announcement regarding the publisher for DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE, so don't miss it!

WIZARD WORLD PHILLY, HERE WE COME!

In a couple more weeks, Jaran Studios will be headed to Philadelphia for Wizard World Philly (May 30th - June 1st)! As always, we'll be giving away prints and registering people to win original DREAD FORCE artwork, so if you're already a fan of DREAD FORCE, or you're just a mech-fanatic, stop by and see what we've got in the works!

DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE COMING TO NEW YORK AND PITTSBURGH!

From April 18th - 20th, Jaran Studios will be invading New York Comic Con with tons of hot DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE art, posters, previews, t-shirts and ashcans! Danimation will be attending, as well, so if you want to meet one of the creators, this is your chance! And just one week later, from April 25th - 27th, we'll be at it again at Pittsburgh Comicon with even more DREAD FORCE! While Pittsburgh may not be the largest comic convention of the year, its known as a favorite among comics fans, so be sure to stop by if you're in either one of these two areas. See you there!

ONLY A FEW MORE DAYS UNTIL MEGACON!

Only 6 more days!!! Just giving everyone a reminder that Jaran Studios will be making it’s first public appearance, with a debut of DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE, at MegaCon in Orlando next weekend! We’ll be unveiling the latest full-color artwork and have lots of cool stuff to check out. If they’re ready in time, we might even have some DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE t-shirts for sale and ashcans to give out! Cross your fingers on that one. Either way, we’ll definitely have plenty of tight NeoKhan posters for sale, pencilled by the great Gerardo Sandoval, and beautifully colored by Simon “Seed” Bork. If you can’t make it, though, you can still order them from us at the store.

SIMON "SEED" BORK BEGINS WORK ON DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE!

I know, it’s been a while since I’ve had time to post on here, but I’m working on changing that, so thanks for the patience. Spectacular colorist Simon “Seed” Bork is now onboard with us for DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE. For those of you that don’t already know, he’s the colorist from the beautifully colored Lullaby and Leviticus Cross, among others. If he can make people look that good, just imagine what he can do on a mech comic book. If you’re not already a fan of his, take a look at his DeviantArt page and you'll see how talented he truly is.

GERARDO SANDOVAL JOINS DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE!

We’ve had an exciting new addition to the DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE in the last few days that I want to share with you! The amazingly talented penciller Gerardo Sandoval will be joining James Raiz to handle the pencilling for all 3 issues! He has worked on several titles for Top Cow, Image and Chaos comics, and I’ve already seen some of his first pencils for DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE…and I’m speechless. If you haven’t seen this guy’s artwork yet, check out some of his pencils on his DeviantArt page and tell us what you think. Until next time…

THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS FOR JARAN STUDIOS' NEW MECH COMIC'S RELEASE - DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE!

Jaran Studios is the creative force behind the new mech comic book mini-series DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE, which is in production as we speak. The amazing duo of James Raiz and Rob Armstrong of Dreamwave/Transformers fame are pencilling and inking all three issues. Talented veteran Kurt Hathaway is handling the writing duties and super-colorist Danimation will be doing the cover colors. The interior colorist hasn't been decided on yet, but we'll be making an announcement soon.

The creators working on this project are some of the most talented pros in comics, and we're gonna be representing at all of the big comic cons in 2008! We'll fill you in on each of those after everything's official, though. You might not be a huge fan yet, but keep checking back and we'll try to keep you interested. Thanks for all the support!

JARAN STUDIOS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES THE PRODUCTION OF THE NEW MECH COMIC BOOK MINI-SERIES DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE!

A three-issue mini-series, DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE tells the story of a future Earth at war with the moon, and under siege by its monstrous, mecha killing-machines! As Earth’s population is methodically slaughtered, a small group of rebels sets out to make a desperate last stand for survival, but even they do not know of the terror that awaits them! DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE will feature the amazing pencils of Gerardo Sandoval, all-star penciller James Raiz and inker Rob Armstrong of Transformers and Transformers Armada fame, and colors by the super-talented Danimation, Misty "Sayda" Coats and Simon "Seed" Bork. Written by outstanding veteran writer Kurt Hathaway, DAWN OF THE DREAD FORCE promises to be headed toward a blockbuster debut!

"Drawing giant robots has always been my forte,” says James Raiz, “and DREAD FORCE has given all of us free reign to really go all out with some crazy artwork. I really think people will be blown away, not just by the art, but by the story and the coolness of the whole project."

James Raiz and Gerardo Sandoval have been contracted to pencil the three-issue mini-series. James' past work includes Transformers Armada, Transformers Energon, Tokyo Storm Warning, Wonder Woman, Incredible Hulk: Destruction, City of Heroes, Captain Universe/Invisible Woman, Birds of Prey, Star Wars Tales and Amazing Fantasy. Gerardo is a star-on-the-rise, pencilling titles such as Tomb Raider during his time with Top Cow Productions.

Inker Rob Armstrong was Pat Lee’s exclusive inker while working at Dreamwave Productions, and his inking credits include Transformers G1, Transformers G1 Vol. 2, Transformers Armada, Transformers Summer Special, Transformers/GI Joe, X-Men, Batman, Superman, Fantastic Four, Witchblade, Dark Minds and Warlands.

Colorists Danimation, Misty "Sayda" Coats and Simon "Seed" Bork round out the art team. Danimation's coloring credits include Marvel Age Spider-Man, Spider-Man Unlimited, X-Men Unlimited, Fantastic Four Special, Age of Apocalypse, Son of Vulcan, Voltron, Street Fighter, Darkstalkers and Jason Rubin's: Iron and the Maiden. Coats is one of the most talented new colorists in the business and Bork is an up-and-coming talent to watch, already with credits on titles from Marvel, Dark Horse, Image, UDON and more, and having recently completed work on Leviticus Cross.

Kurt Hathaway has been hired to develop the series' premise and write the scripts. His background as a 20-year industry veteran in the fields of lettering, writing, and editing make him perfectly suited to bring DREAD FORCE to life. His resume reads like a who's who of comics and his writing credits include Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, Supreme, Deathmate Red, Green Lantern, etc., and also includes movies, television and Playstation games for Electronic Arts.
